And it’s a Christine Grove type-a day.. not TYPE A.. typa.. get it? type OF.. LOL.. Yes I am goofy today.. I lost ONE WHOLE POUND this week LOL.. 2 inches off my waist.. and feeling very SVELTE.. LOL.. NOT. This morning my Tyler’s team won their first game in a tournament.. it’s a GOOD day 🙂 and yes, My HOOD went on a couple of times (see previous post).
Anyway.. back to our Christine. When I first “met” her I was so drawn to her illustrations.. to her sense of humor.. her artwork makes me smile and laugh out loud. SERIOUSLY.. These senioritas are DA BOMB. Now when I first released them, I received a few not so nice messages as to how I am depicting older women etc. (they have sold out many many times so thank goodness I don’t rely on the nay sayers LOL) If people know me, they KNOW that the artwork I sell is a part of my heart and NEVAH EVAH would I want to insult anyone in any way. When I released the senioritas, all I felt was STRENGTH, and WARMTH.. and SILLYNESS.. Just exactly what I want to be when I am their age. Are they stunning and gorgeous? maybe not so much.. but they are REAL. AND they cater to any age.. to me they represent women. Period. So really sistahs? I appreciate all comments I receive.. don’t stop.. but before you do, I hope you read this little snippet and understand where I am coming from.. n’k?
So I will start now with SENIORITA GLADYS. Seriously. I LOVE HER. I love her outfit, her face and what she REPRESENTS… oh and her sentiment? TO DIE FOR.. I swear.. the images are easy… LOL.. it’s pairing them up with the perfect words.

And now meet SENIOR-ita BEVERLY.. she is the optimist in the seniorita clan.. always happy and always finding a reason to smile. EVEN. IN. THE. RAIN. I wanna hang out with Bev. .. but maybe later cuz it looks like she is about to jump in that puddle. LOL.

The last one on our list is of a baby. Now just like a “juicy” flower… everyone needs a “juicy” baby in their collection. I can tell you that I was running dry with names.. I just looked at this baby and named it BABY. LOL. But how can a Bella stamp be named BABY.. it can’t..LOL.. so I was in the car with Jayden (for a change.. cuz all I DO IS DRIVE!!!).. and she said something (when she was in a good mood LOL) and I said to her what did you say SNOOKUMS? … snookums? hmmmmm??? OK that was it. Perfect bella name for a perfect bella stamp.
MEET SNOOKUMS.. snookums can be a he baby or she baby depending on the colours of the outfit. AND THE TWIRL AT THE TOP OF THE HAT? I mean.. COME ON.. see? it’s the smallest things that make me soooo happy. And the quote? Do we need to discuss my obssession with POOH? I actually sent this quote to Christine and said please draw what this quote means to you.. and sure enough .. she made us SNOOKUMS.. double chin and all 🙂

I’ve made several cards with the stamps of the “older” generation and everyone loves them! Don’t listen to the nay-sayers. Some people just like to grumble and some are never happy unless they can try to pull someone else down. Love the new super granny!

I can really relate to these three… I’m in the same age group as Bev and Gladys and have a 2 year old granddaughter who totally fills my heart. I also have a plate on my mantle that reads “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…it’s about learning to dance in the rain”. I love that saying and have made it my mantra. These three treasures would be sure to receive tender loving care if they came to live with me.

Awww how cute is Snookums and yup perfect bella name. Now our lovely ladies both fab but I think Beverly has stole my heart!
