  1. Well….first – it would be fun to spend some time with you ont the phone! Now about these pages…ladies – you just get better and better! I love looking at your pages each week. They are growing in creativity with every passing week! Keep them coming – I’m ‘almost’ inspired enough to try this!

  2. Patti J. you must come and join us, they are really fun to do once you get started. Lots of great pages again, Pinky, I love the colors you used on yours and the saying is perfect.

  3. Hey Patti J. you should join us and just try!! Whenever I start a page I never think it’s going to be “good enough” and then when I think I’ve completed it I’m still not sure and then I just think “oh to heck with it just put it out there and keep on trying” so that’s what I’ve been doing and I’m always amazed and inspired by what everyone else’s ideas are for each theme.
Pinky I am in Love with the layers of colours on your page. I see you used a stencil (I think) what materials did you use spray wise? Tattered Angels Glimmer mist? H20’s? The lines of little poka dots is that some kind of transparent tape? I just LLLLOVE your whole background and design!!!

    1. Thanks Heather! Yes I did use a stencil. I started dabbing on some FolkArt acrylic paint over the stencil, once that dried I added a touch of Faber Castell Gellato in pink. I also gave the page a few sprits of glimmer mist. Basically I used everything but the kitchen sink on this page. It turned out nothing like what I had in my mind. My pages never do. That is what I love about art journaling. You just keep adding layers until you are satisfied…or as you put it “to heck with it” LOL Underneath all that layering is patterned paper which in the end I can’t even see anymore.

To anyone who is afraid to try this please just go for it. It truly is all about play. I am sure that we all have enough stress in our daily lives, don’t fret over this. It is a therapy to release all and just have fun.

      1. Pinky Thanks for letting me know how you did your layers, I think I’m going to have to try some of this washi tape and The Faber Castell Gellato is that a marker, pencil crayon, pastel? I know the Faber Castell brand but have never heard of the Gellato product. I have all the other products I’m inspired by your layers and I think i will try something like that for next week. And I agree A favorite colour? Just one really?

      2. You can find Gellato’s in Michaels. I think Emily may even have them for sale online. I know she did sell them in the store at one time. They are similar to a watercolour crayon. If you “YouTube” Faber Castell Gellato’s you may be able to see a product demonstration. YouTube can be a great classroom of interesting videos.

  4. Love the pages again this week – so creative. Emily forgot to post mine but I have resent it to her. If she forgets again, please feel to pop over to my blog for a look-see! http://www.craftyviolet.blogspot.com

By all means Patty, jump into the fun. I’m seldom happy with my page but I send them to Emily to post anyway. Its a fun learning experience.

  5. Hey Emily I’m glad to know I’m not the only one with chaos in my craft basement!! I’m still trying to organize about half of my stuff! Technically I have more room now, but I also want more from my room now that it’s in the basement! I want a space for doing art work, a space for table top photography, a space to store my sewing machine with easy access. Basically I want all my tools and supplies with a home that can easily be reached and put away without having to move 16 things blocking them on the shelf!!! IS this too much to ask for girls?? Do any of you have any tips on how to deal with feeling overwhelhmed when trying to organize and sorting stuff out ? I can use any tips or words of wisdom you may have!!!!

  6. I look at all the pages every week, and you are all amazing! It’s amazing that there is one prompt and everyone’s page is so unique!

  7. Bravo Sistahs – loved everyone’s page this week. As Corey says “one prompt and everyone’s page is unique” – love that about art journaling. It is such a fun process.

Now for next week…..dang Em…pick a favorite colour? Geesh. That is like having to choose my favorite pie….I haven’t met I pie I don’t like.

Come on Patti. Jump in the pool with the rest of us – the water is just fine. 🙂

  8. No offense Emily. I don’t think our computers like each other! It’s hard to tell where the punches are on mine, but they are there – the leaves at the bottom of the flowers are from a Martha St. fern punch and the butterflies are from a MS border punch.
