Hiya sistahs.. I know that there are sistahs from all ovah DA world who come and visit my bloggypoo (at least I hope so…LOL). I am wondering if anyone else celebrated a SNOWY mother’s day. SNOW. Yup you hearded me…SNOW on MAY 9th! It was CUH-RAZY I tell ya.
Well, yesterday morning I heard a BIG commotion down in the kitchen.. I had a FEELINK that there was some preparation going on from da kidlets and sure enough at 7:45 My door bangs open and in come 2 little ones in PJS holding stuff. One had a plate with Rye bread on it and a knife and the other one was carrying a tub of margarine. There was a glass of water but *ahem* half was spilled on the staircase. They were BEAMING (i did not DARE tell them that the diet of the week was ATKINS and there were NO carbs going into me) so I pretended to Crunch and Munch and OOOOHH and AHHHHH saying how proud I was of them. MORE BEAMING going on. Tyler then proceeded to tell me that he had to STARE at the toaster oven and open it before it “rang” so that I would nevah SUSPECT they were making me toast (as if the rustle and bustle and clanging and banging in the kitchen would not give it away..LOL).. I confirmed his cleverness.. and Jayden was in the background piping up a big “YEAH ME TOO” every once in a while..LOL. How cute was that?!
Today Tyler had a book report that he basically had to do orally to the class. He was SO PROUD to tell me it concerned NON FICTION this time.. every 3 seconds he said the words NON FICTION cuz he was so proud that he knew what NON FICTION was (get the point about NON FICTION?) Then my darling almost 5 year old told me she didn’t wanna watch the movie cuz she saw it already on YOU TUBE… I almost SWALLOWED her when she said that. How does she know what YOU tube is? LOLOL
So I took Tyler and Jayden (not trying to be an annoying mama) to a birthday party for ADAM (remember NOT TODAY MAYBE TOMORROW? HUH CHESTER?).. that’s ADAM and his mom is my BFF. She decided to give me a little bag from the drugstore for Mother’s Day… Well guess what she bought me?
KNOW WHAT THIS IS????? LOL. It’s a LIP GLOSS (clear) that CHANGES with the TONE of your LIPS!! Does that sound remotely familiar? LOL. Remember this POST?
I looked at my BFF and asked her if she remembered my FIASCO with the last lip gloss I got that PROMISED to take the colour of my lips and enhance them naturally.. LOL.. they were FUSCHIA!! So I was a bit scared of the one above.. LOL. I am going to try it tomorrow and will keep you posted!

You remind me so much of myself when it comes to trying all the newest stuff, especially makeup. Just an FYI on the O-Gloss, I know everyone says it is the best thing since sliced bread but obviously the “tone” of my lips was not meant for this stuff. I tried another one of these “types” last year and it turned my lips orange, then i tried the Ogloss and the same thing happened, so i have decided that i will stick with my Lustreglass Mac Wonderstruck gloss, i have always gone back to it so why i mess around i have no clue….lol Good luck though!!
Oh, I was at Sephora this weekend and picked up Youtube makeup guru Lauren Luke’s “My Vintage Glam” set. Comes with everything from eye base, to shadow to cheeks, to lips and everything in between, check her out. Awesome stuff…..

No snow here in SK on Mother’s day but lots the week leading up to it! Love the story about your kidlets, they are too cute. At least your kids only brought you one piece of toast…i sent all of my students home with a bouqet of cake pops for their moms!

WW sistah….WW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you could have had your rye toast and buttah (probably 4pts) and ate a delish zero point HOMEMADE soup for lunch to balance it all off!
oh ya….NO snow in CHATHAM! we put a prime rib on the spit! You’d have thought those boys of mine had never seen food before! (that is what residence will do for ya!) It was perfect! And the bestest way to make those boys of mine appreciate their mom, especially on a day when mom’s are supposed to be pampered!
I agree with Linda WW is the way to go! Now if only I could get back on track! 😉 Yep, a little bit of snow here too. I actually quite liked the O gloss when I tried it….keep us posted!
How cute for the kids to do that. I didn’t see snow either and I am not too far from you. How did the lip gloss work out? If you have purple lips when I am at Bella on Wednesday, I will know what happened.
Cherish those moments with your little ones Em!!! Before you know it, they are 23! LOL!!! Dustin bought me a Fossil purse with his own money….THAT was a big deal at my house! LOL …love ya…see ya in like 48 days…
hehe, rye bread in bed….yummmmm I actually have some new candies for those kidlets of yours. Paula found a GIGANTIC bag of M&M’s that have pretzels inside! Not too shabby for M&M’s. {ok, Jim actually found them, but I am bringing them!!} I will see you sooner than Laura…like less than 14 days…woooohoooooooo!!
What a wonderful thing for the kidlets to do. Mine are all over the place so phone calls was what they were brewing up. Bread – I haven’t touched it in 8 weeks now along with pasta, potatoes or rice. Sticking with veggies and protien – and no sugars, I have 16 pounds gone. Keeping myself in Phase I of The South Beach has been wonderful. I’m not hungry and have tons more energy. Oh and clothes actually fit again. Good Luck!
