Have I been MIA or what?!? This is just terrible. I promise I will make it up to my sistahs! I have been BOUND AND GAGGED in HAPPY TAPE and THAT is why I have not been able to blog.. LOL.. ya ya.. that’s the story and I am STICKING to it!

How fun was that?! So what’s new in your neckadawoods (new word)? It’s snowing here.. ho hum. I am trying to pack for FLLLLOOOOORIDA. We are leaving on Friday in the middle of da night for 10 days.. I am excited to go and the kidlets are counting down da SLEEPS. We have not had a vacay in sooo long!!!! My mom is already there asking me what she needs to buy us to eat and fill our fridge.. (grrrrrr…) and she has already put me on some sort of regime that I must walk with her every morning for 40 minutes (double grrrrrr…)… I don’t know HOW I can explain to her that i just wanna read books and surf the net and blog and journal. She doesn’t get it. Oops and spend time with my family 🙂 did I forget that important part?
I am reading an AMAZING book.. loving every minute of it but I am such a slow reader. It’s called “THE HELP” by Kathryn Stockett and I just bought the new Kristin Hannah novel “True Colors”. She wrote FIREFLY LANE and I LOOOOVED that book. Have you read anything lately that you can recommend? I love getting ideas and peoples opinions etc. so let me know!
Ok, now for the next question.. WHAT AM I GONNA WEAR IN FLORIDA? OMG… thank goodness it is cool so I don’t have to SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE into anything uncomfortable and THANK GOOODNESSS there is a washing machine cuz then I can wear my favorites all the time..LOL!

Congrats to all the winners and have an amazing time Emily!!! We’re heading down there the first 2 weeks of July. Andrew’s in Gr 8 now, so we didn’t want him missing any school. With the summer we had last yr, I’m sure we won’t be sorry!
I love Kristen Hannah! I don’t know if you like Nicholas Sparks, but I just finished “The Lucky One” and it was really good as well as “Wednesday Letters” but I can’t remember the author and I just sent it to my sister. Try googling it maybe. It has a red cover, gold lettering and omg, SO good and a quick read. I absolutely LOVED it.

I recently read “The Help”. That truly is an amazing book. I couldn’t put it down.

Thank you for sharing what books you enjoy! Now I have a list of what to read!! My personal favourite lately is Anna Gavalda – I’ve read all her novels, and let me tell you, she’s FANTASTIC!!! Everything she writes is sooo touching and emotionally deep… Anna is a French writer and if your French is good (can’t say that about mine!), reading originals must be a total pleasure! If not, her work was translated into English under the following titles: I Wish Someone Were Waiting for Me Somewhere; Someone I loved; Hunting and Gathering; 95 Pounds of Hope.
