Card Samples

they say

that even negative publicity is good publicity.  First of all, let’s discuss this “they” business.  My late grandmother (may she rest in peace) used to buy me clothes and say, EMILY, THIS is what THEY are wearing.  Now tell me bellas, who the *(() are “they”?  LOLOL  I have always asked this question as inquiring minds wanna know.

I digress.  There is a very interesting thread going on at SCS.. A thread where people are stating their ‘opinions’ about DA BELLAS.. can you believe..LOL?  I have such a tummy ache thinking about it (reverting back to kindergarten days..LOL-what a professional I am)… I dunno, Of course I love my bellas and other stamps.. really.. obviously I do and want to protect them.  I also own 4 rubbermaid ginormous tubs of other companies stamps which I *LOVE* to pieces.. I would NEVER start a thread telling everyone that I don’t like a certain company.. ya know? What would provoke me to write that?  I don’t like the person?  I don’t like the goods?  Even if I didn’t like the goods, who cares?  Would I discuss it with everyone?  NO!  Not cuz it’s me.. (well, ya cuz it’s me).. I know I can’t take it so personally! I am a sensitive-wanna-please-everyone-a-bella. and NO, I am not PMS’ing..lol.  I am assuming that people are getting annoyed seeing all the posts and all the fun the bella gang is having 🙂

The good news is that people checked out my site because of this SCS thread and put in orders and love the bellas and may even join the bellaholics.. so that is the good news which brings me back to my original statement regarding publicity.

Ok, I feel better now.

MWAH

Em

P.S. I know I still owe you some shopping and casino details..LOL.  Will get to it by tomorrow

Oh well

OK, when I read this I started to get a little angry because someone was talking bad about the bellas. I mean, to me, I just can’t understand for the life of me how someone could not fall in love with these gals and Em. They are like no other stamps I have found and I LOVE THEM! We should all get T-shirts that say I am the proud owner of bella stamps! I would wear one. I know, I am a nut!

After I searched for the thread, ready to state my mind to “those” people. I was surprised to see that the negativity was not as strong as I was thinking. Yes, there were a few remarks about not understanding why all the fuss and that “they are just not for me”. Several SCS’s posted that to each their own….that what one might like the other would not. Happens with many things in life. That is why we have Fords, Chevy…etc. I was so happy to see the fellow bella sistahs state that they are whimsical and suite their style and fun to color. I just think it is preference on things.

Now Em, this has to be difficult for you to hear..er..read. I know it would have to be. As I was reading, my mouth was open and I really could not believe someone would not absolutely fall in love with your creations. You know what? To each his own. You have a wonderful product. A specilized product and what I like about you is that you have stuck to that product. You have not comprimized the bella creation or style. I mean I am a SU demo and I love my SU stamps and stand by them. They offer so may different kind of stamps to cater to everyone. I mean look at their catalog. Now they are going to two catalogs a year to help with that selection. I think you do offer a wonderful selection although you know we always want more bellas. You have a one of a kind unique product. One that does not waver. One that stays in the bella style and that is why we, bella lovers, keep coming back. We love them and we use them and we are proud of them.

So Em, you keep on rockin girl because the bellas are great, unique, and a part of you. I know, with the bellas being part of you, those comments had to cut like a knife….but chin up my friend….not everyone is going to like the bellas (I know I really can’t comprehend it at all). Not everyone likes chocolate ice cream. To each his own. You still are the tops in our list and will always be. So don’t let that thread get you down at all or get you upset. Chin up girl and bella away!

I emailed you to cheerupabella. bahahaha. I crack myself sometimes… wow, nerd much? *huggles*

  3. Robyn says:

Miss Em …. I would love to know what the thread said, via SCS, that referred negatively to your BELLA stamps … or at least, give us a “hint” where it’s located, so we can stand up for what we Love and Adore —> Emily’s BELLAS !
I’d definitely leave some feedback on that thread, stating how much your designs are raved about here in Toronto and throughout Canada, USA, Europe and so on. So c’mon, let me have a turn :)) Pretty Please 🙂
Seriously Em, I know how dedicated you are to your creation of Bella’s and you HAVE to know by now, how well the public receives them and how they wait, day after day, hoping for a new BELLA creation to add to their collection. Perhaps it’s some envy on their part, or a bit of jealously that has caused this negative feeling regarding your ~Babies~ the Bella line. Just sit back and remember all of us who support and adore your line , and all the ladies who proudly display their affection to both you and your BELLA stamps. Need I say more?
You make us proud Em, from watching this dream and idea flourish into a very popular and loved company. BRAVO to you 🙂

  4. Adictabella says:

I saw the thread you are referring to and Em – so DO NOT let it get you down – some ppl can’t help but be negative, and especially on SCS after a while it becomes *really* easy to pick out the negatives peeps – and the OP on that thread certainly was one of them (some ppl refer to them as trolls :D).

They like nothing better then to start controversy and starting a thread like that (PURPOSELY titled and worded so as not to sound TOO negetave but w/ the full intent to start something I’m sure) when it’s pretty obvious that we all are haveing a BLAST being “addictabellas” – was obviously too tempting for the trolls to pass up!!

So just ignore them (easier said than done – I know if it were me I would be SO bothered by it!!).

We all love you and your Bellas Em!!!

  5. Nanabella says:

Couldn’t agree more to what Crystabella said! To each their own…you won’t please everyone one.
    Keep up the great work!

  6. Marcy Moser says:

WHAT! Are you saying that somewhere out there is a real person who doesn’t like the Bellas? I just can’t believe it! I think it sould be illegal to not like the Bella sistas. Shall I have my hubby bust out the handcuffs and pepper spray? You just say the word Em, he is working right now, all I have to do is call him. Ok, I am being a total nut but hopefully it made you laugh. I seriously LOVE my Bellas and I know there are many others who feel the same. Don’t let one post get ya down. How about if I have him use his tazer? Just kidding! Off to buy more Bellas!

  7. Debbie says:

I’m with all the other gals who love the bellas. I bought one or two, then a couple more and so on…I think they are great! I’m also a SU demonstrator but when I see a great product that’s different from ours I don’t hesitate to get it and also spread the word about how great I think they are. Your blog is great and so funny. I guess I have been guilty of lurking in the background for quite awhile now. Actually I just discovered the “comments” tonight. I’m a little slow 🙂 Keep up the great work! Is the graduation bella in the works now? I’ve got a graduate in May…..pleaseah….as bella would say..

  8. LinzyD says:

Have no fear, Em. Your Bellas are adored and loved by many…and for those that don’t care for the Bellas….well…
Never mind them, they’re obviously not cool anyway!
    Linzy

  9. inge says:

Keep up the good work Em! Don’t get any doubts, you rock girl:D And ofcourse there are people who don’t like the Bella’s (it’s their loss;-)) but there are many more of us who have put them right into our hart!
    {hugs}

  10. Kimmiebella says:

They’re just jealous!! (That’s what my Mom would always say!)

  11. I’ve been a stamper for many years, and like most stampers, my creativity has it’s ups and downs. I was kind of in a slump, and then came the BELLAS! The designs have inpired me and have jump started my creative side!! I love them!! I always have a smile on my face when I have a Bella in hand! There are bunches of us who love those girls and have been inspired to have fun and spread the BELLA LOVE around, and that’s all that matters! Love your Bellas, baby!!! ((((hugs))))!!

  12. Julie says:

Hugs to you Em! You know you (and the bellas) are loved by hundreds, thousands, millions!!!! Sour grapes . . .whatever . . . let it push you to further greatness! 🙂 We love ya!

  13. Michele says:

Love ALL you do; ignore those silly gooses that have NOTHING better to do…the rest of us? Well..w’ere stamping with our bellas today. LOL!

  14. Manda says:

I will try to keep this short, but I have seen some comments about negative threads on SCS, and how others are mad that people are venting. I guess I am writing this to let you know that there are probably many people like me that don’t even find those negative threads. If I see something in the title that looks kind of negative, I don’t even go to it… I don’t want to waste my time reading someone else gripping!!! I mean, we all have things we want to vent about, but come one… SCS is not the place to do it. Pick up the phone, or put it in your blog, or just send an email… but for those people who feel that they need to complain about things in a public forum like that just need to grow UP!!!

I so don’t blame you for being hurt, or upset, or mad… you are so justified!!! You are like the rest of us using many products… not just SU, or Bellas, or one thing… You are a diverse woman!!! A woman with a vision, who is creative, smart, and wonderful for sharing your inspiring Bellas and all their accessories with the world. I am personally greatful for the “we need a Bella club” thread, because I have learned so much, and get so many inspiring ideas.
Okay, I did oh so well on keeping this short!!! Yeah, I got on a soapbox!!! Basically Emily, you Rock!!! You keep giving up beautiful Bellas and all her goodies!!! We will keep buying them, using them, and showcasing them in any forum we can!!! Continuing to spread the wonderful world of Bellaland!!!
    Manda 🙂

  15. Anouk says:

    Oh Em,

I am sorry that there are some people out there who are saying discouraging things about the Bella’s. Just know that the girls and you are loved by many! I, love your whole line, and can’t wait for new stuff to show up. I am sad to say that I check your blog and site several times a day in the hopes that there is something new out there. Keep up the good work, and forget what these other people are saying. I love ya!

  16. Carol says:

You know I got ya…..Bella’s UNITE! I think we the point was made in the thread that fine you may have issues and not think that Bella is da bomb…but keep that stuff to yourself…

    Love ya Em!

    C

  17. Donna says:

Emily ROCKS, and so do the Bellas! Please don’t ever change your style, or attitude, or personality. You’re the best! The Bellas make me happy – keep ’em coming!

  18. Amanda says:

    Emily,

So intrigued by your posting I went to the SCS site to read these silly comments and was sitting here (at work) jaw open and in awe.

The proof is in the pudding…….er something like that. If your sales are doing well and only you know that, then you have nothing to worry about.

People are not always a fan of change and you bring a product that is different then the others. I’m all about being different.

I have never bought a SU product…….I know it’s shocking (Hello I’m Amanda and a SU virgin…..gasp!) but I do like some of the sets they have to offer and plan on buying them in the future. However, I love having unmounted stamps. They are so much easier to me (have a few CTMH sets) and I really like the images.

As for them being too thin……..good lord then if that’s the case there are stamps that aren’t realistic looking…….there are ones that don’t ink well…….you could come up with a list of reasons why something is not good for you but it shouldn’t stop you from trying it at least once.

Keep up the great work! We wouldn’t be replying if we agreed with the other “non-bella-lovers”.

No one said running your own business was easy 🙂

    Take care,

    Amanda

  19. Kay says:

I read that thread (and even added to it, but it was all good, I promise) Like Emily, I really don’t understand why the OP even bothered – if you don’t like a certain stamp, don’t buy it. Personally, I never need all that much persuasion to buy things I like and my credit card can attest to it, but if I had to be “talked in to it” ……… there are just way too many things on my wish list (can anyone say Bella’s?) to worry about things that I don’t want.
Easy for me to say “just ignore it” when it’s not my babies being picked on, but as has already been mentioned, looking at your sales figures might help 🙂

  20. Paula says:

The people that say stupid stuff, are just dumb, dumb, dumb! Here are always going to be some stamps (somewhere) that I don’t like, but because it’s a big beautiful world full of stamps, there is something for everyone—and I love my Bella’s! They bring me and I’m sure all of use users great fun stamping with them. I think some people on SCS are just a bit SU crazed!!!!

Keep up the good bella work–you have a long loyal list of customers!

  21. Jennifer says:

This is my first Bella post and I have to say I am in love with these adorable girls! I bought four and a few days later bought three more. I want them ALL! 🙂

I found the SCS post that sparked this Bella thread and I have to say it would have upset me too. Maybe the original SCS poster never saw Disney’s Bambi growing up. “If you don’t have something nice to say…” That would be like me telling everyone in the teacher’s dinning room at work I don’t like the way Miss Smith decorated her classroom. Why share that? If I don’t like her classroom I won’t copy it. There are plenty of stamps and stamp companies out there that I don’t care for but I am sure not going to blast them for creating something I don’t want to buy. I’ll support those companies I do enjoy…Like STAMPING BELLA!

    Keep these cuties coming Em and don’t let those Negative Nancy’s get you down. You have a humongous Bella following!!! {{{hugs}}}

  22. Tina says:

Hey Em! You’re right about even bad publicity being good! I admit, I was in the “what is this latest craze” crowd. SCS has cost me HUNDREDS of dollahs on all the latest stuff… so I purposely stayed out of the Bella threads… (I know, I know, what was I thinking?????)

Well, when this latest thread “erupted”, I decided I needed to see what all the hoopla was about.

I’d seen some of the images in the gallery, but it wasn’t until I googled Stamping Bella that I got the full effect! I placed an order for 4 stamps last night! (It would have been more, but I only had XX amount left in my stamping budget!!) If it wasn’t for that thread, I would have kept closing my eyes when cruising past the Bella threads… SO GLAD I OPENED THAT THREAD!

    I have two questions, though….

    1) Are you REALLY going to do a “plus size” bella??? OMG I am SO THERE if you do!

    2) WHEN WILL MY STAMPS BE HERE?? I know, I just ordered them, but I can’t WAIT to get them!!!

Thanks for something FRESH AND FUN!!

  23. Jeanne S says:

No worries Em. Your girlies are the bestest!

  24. Wendalyn says:

I love my Bella’s and I think someone was just stating they didn’t see what the craze was because there are so many pictures in the gallery. Who knows you can’t please everyone i know i check daily for new bella’s to come out to order im addicted that is all i can say LOL…. Oh how about a Clown Bella or a Farmer Bella… i could go on forever LOL

  25. Gina K. says:

    Em,
From one stamp artist to another, don’t let it get you down. I truly don’t even think the poster meant to cut down your stamps as much as she was saying, “Hey, what’s wrong with me. Why am I not excited.” (I am so that way at times. I look at a stamp set from Stampin’ Up and say, I don’t know what I would do with that… then I see the cards and I think, WOW!! Now I know what the artist was thinking.) She went on to state that she liked your “golfabella.” So there you go. Even people who don’t like your stamps, do like your stamps! LOL! That’s a great stamp company!

Truly, your stamps are da bomb! I’m not quite sure how anyone could not like them unless they are a little jelous of their gorgeous bodies! LOL!

I posted that I wish you would create a manicurist one. Maybe a Polishabella or Madge-a-bella- very dated, I know but I could really use her!

My opinion may not count all that much in your big picture, but I know what it takes to draw stamps and create a stamp company. This is your baby and like any good momma’ if anyone doesn’t like your kids, it hurts.

You’ve acted with class and dignity and I am glad that the post brought you new business. (Maybe someone will say something about Gina K. Designs stamps and I’ll have a run too! LOL!)

Have a wonderful night and keep on creating beautiful stamps- You are truly a Winner-a bella!

  26. Jennifer says:

I found the thread most by accident. I have liked Bellas for a while, but have only recently ordered.

I think America is an awesome place because we have the ability to do and say things that are prohibited elsewhere. Unfortunatley, some folks take it out of the box and chose to hurt peoples feelings by using thier rights to thier fullest.

I would recommend not reading them. They are not productive conversations and meant more to instigate multiple comments and conflict.

Just let Bella be her sweetabella self and ignore those that can’t see the charm and appeal of your wonderful creations!

  27. Dawnabella says:

You go girl! I love the bellas and you! You have my vote!

  28. Well, Em, after reading all four pages you know what I did? I posted 3 of my Bella cards in the Gallery over at SCS. I love my Bellas, will continue to love my Bellas and will post my Bellas everywhere I can!

The other side of the coin is that that was 4 pages of free advertising, right?

  29. Ellen says:

    Em
I Love your stamps…I love your company….I love they way you respond to everything with class !

    Loyal-bella
    Ellen

  30. How dare they say these are just stamps, not someone’s precious baby!!! Listen here, if someone said either give up your Bellas or your (14-year-old) baby, I’d give them my (14-year-old) baby!!! I love my Bellas!

  31. Anne says:

OK>>>I smile at your stamps, but I don’t get them! Does this make me a bad person? NO! I have spent some time on your site and would tell my friends about it without having any intention of purchasing them for myself. This is all the SCS thread was about before some people (who posted here) took offense and blew it out of proportion. I wish you and your company well.

  32. jailbirdstamper aka Lauribella says:

    I got your ‘back-a-bella’ .. rock on!

  33. AJ says:

Hi~ Saw the thread, agree with ya totally…..
    enough about that~
I happen to love your girls, and maybe someday I will take the plunge and get a few and the and the oval frame (which I think rocks btw!!!) (Never bought unmounted before, shhhh, don’t tell anyone!!!)
The gals are great, and so are many of the fabulous other images!!! I *wish* I didn’t like them!!! ; )
Keep up the great work and the positive spirit!!!

  34. Carmabella says:

Okay – I am a bellaholic – I have even been involved in bella swaps from SCS… I think that they are great. I mean – there are stamp companies that don’t fit my personal style… but I would never start a thread on it… because – thank god – everyone has their own taste… it would suck if we all liked the same stuff… but now I am becoming a bit of a rant-a-bella… so I should just go to bed. Keep up the great work – I love my bellas and even have my coworkers addicted as well!

  35. Beverly A says:

Regardless of what anyone else thinks I’m addicted to your bella stamps!

  36. Nicole says:

Don’t let the stone-throwers get you down! As Addictabella said, there are some on SCS that will pick on any and every topic just to get a response.
    Rock on, Em!

  37. Lisa says:

Em, your Bellas make me smile whenever I gaze upon them. Sometimes, I take them out just so I can smile, and I am appalled that someone would start a negative thread about your fabulous Girls! Just remember, the people who matter don’t care and the people who care don’t matter! And, I hope you are laughing all the way to the bank, because BELLAS ROCK!

  38. Fida says:

I also read the thread and was surprised about the post. But, Em, don’t worry, ‘coz plenty of us love your stamps – they’re really cute. You cannot please everybody. No matter what you do, there will be someone who will always say negative stuffs. Just don’t let them bother you, just keep making more cute stuff and we will keep buying them!!! We’re here for you!!!

  39. Alanna H says:

Like some of the ladies have said, too bad for them, they are just jealous that they did not design and develope these wonderful little ladies…..I love them as they bring a smile to my face…I belong to two Yahoo Groups for Stamping that are right now running Bella Swaps…..on one of the groups, one lady posted…..what is a Bella Stamp…never heard of it…..well someone else posted the website and then went on to say….whoa….a Bella Stamp is the creme’ de la creme’ of the swapping world…..so from another prospective, they are well loved…..I own several of the cute Bella’s and am patiently(not) waiting for my second order to arrive…..keep up the wonderful work….and I love them all
    Alanna

  40. Jana Weaver says:

Hi, my name is Jana, and I’m a Bellaholic. I mean, I haven’t even received my first order and I already placed a second!!! Everyone has their own tastes, but we all LOVE you Em…don’t worry!!

And I was just checking SCS an dnoticed an AWESOME idea…check out what someone wrote about a multi-tasking bella!!

    huggs,
    Jana

  41. Linda Deline says:

OKay, I confess… and please read all of this before you get mad. I am one who saw your bellas on Kraftin Kimmies blog. I thought they were okay, but I probably wouldn’t rave about them as others were doing. Well, I looked at your site, and there was one stamp I thought was perfect for a card I wanted to do…. and this one was perfect if what I hoped happened, actually did…. and this one was perfect for next February… and this one I just plain liked! Yes folks, I ordered four… so far. I also subscribed to the newsletter and your blog. OMG, does this mean I’m hooked too? Oh well, at least I’m in great company. Keep up the good work (can you do a bowling kid?) God bless. Linda D.

  42. Lucinda says:

I have to say, after perusing SCS for a VERY long time, I started to see bellas being used all over the place. I didn’t know what they were, but I started to become obsessed with finding them on cards. Once I saw one that I really liked, another ‘new’ bella would pop up that I felt like I just ‘had’ to have! That led me to this website! I’ve ordered 3 and am waiting for my the end of this cc statment date to order more! So I have to say “thanks” to SCS – if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have found YOU!!! I can only imagine all the new addicts your going to have because of that website!

  43. Joanne B. says:

Goodness… just read that ludicrous thread on SCS and I’m so sorry. Of course everyone has different tastes and a right to their own opinion… but I think it is just un-necessary to start a thread about it. I hope you realize by the tons of comments here, and on that thread, that you have a stong following, and the Bellas are very loved! 😉 And, to make you feel better.. how about an order of some new girls from me? 😉 Can’t wait to hear all about the finished stamp space, and get ideas on how to better organize myself! Have a great night!
