Happy Saturday everyone! This week our fabulous Sandiebella has a technique to share for Stamp It Saturday! If you missed last week’s post from yours truly (Mirror Stamping), this is a new regular feature here on the blog designed to help you get the most from your stamps and inspire you to try some fun techniques in the process. Read on for Sandiebella’s post featuring one of the gorgeous new Danielle Donaldson stamps, showing us how to use clear embossed outlines for an easily achievable soft “no line” look.
Clear Embossing Stamping
Stamping Bella Danielle Donaldson Collection – mostlyNaomi rubber stamp set
Clear Embossing Powder
Step by step:
Stamp the image onto a piece of card, using clear embossing ink
Cover the whole image with the embossing powder,
Shake off the excess, onto an A4 sheet of paper so that you can funnel it back into the jar.
Melt the embossing powder with a heat gun.
Heating from underneath will stop the card from curling up.
Colour the image as normal, using the embossed lines to guide you.
The marker colours appear darker as you lay them down, but as they dry they fade.
I added some metallic pencil to her hair and shirt.
When the image is completely coloured, leave to dry for a while, then go back in with darker shades where you want to add depth.
To finish, use a copic multi-liner, or similar, to paint the eyes.
