Marker Geek Monday: Copic Colouring Uptown Girl Bianca has a Big Cake (video)

Marker Geek Monday has rolled around again, and I’ve got some more colouring fun to share. This week it’s a Copic colouring video featuring one of our lovely Uptown Girl stamps.

Stamping Bella Colouring Videos:

If you have recently joined us you may not be aware that since last year I have been uploading colouring videos for all the latest Stamping Bella stamp releases over on my Marker Geek YouTube channel. Whenever I colour the product images for the new releases I film the process to hopefully help inspire you when colouring the stamps for your own projects. I’m also going back and filming colouring videos for some of the older Stamping Bella stamps too. If there’s one you would like to see coloured and you don’t see it on my Marker Geek YouTube channel, let me know!

Here’s my Stamping Bella YouTube playlist:

Please note that most of the colouring videos are not in “real time”, for the most part they have been sped up. I do not colour at an insane speed! Colouring takes time, so please bear in mind that many of the videos are at least 2x speed, and may be 4x or 8x. I have tried to create a balance between showing you as much of the colouring process as possible while not taking up too much of your time!

On to today’s colouring and a quick card I whipped up!

Watch the video below or in HD over on my Marker Geek YouTube Channel.

Full marker info is available on the video.

I think Bianca is one of my most used Uptown Girls, I’ve got a bit of a thing for that big cake! She makes for a fantastic card, whether you use her in her entirety or indulge in one of my favourite pastimes – a little Uptown Girl butchery… 😉 Here are a couple more cards I’ve created with her for some additional inspiration!

  1. Can you do a tutorial on pleating? I always have trouble making the pleats on the girls dresses. Thank you!

  2. Yes! Pleating would be a great video! I was just thinking that myself before I saw the comment. I adore your coloring!! When I grow up, I’d like to color 1/2 as good as you! ;0)

    1. Hi Louise! Thank you for your lovely comment, much appreciated!

I have already covered pleats and folds in an earlier Marker Geek Monday which includes a step by step photo guide and a video! You can find that post here: http://bit.ly/29FcWuj

I also did another one on my own blog featuring a different Stamping Bella image: http://bit.ly/2cg6kTh

Hope you find those posts useful!

  3. Holy WOW. The coloring is something I aspire to. I spend more time looking at coloring, than DOING it. Dang! You are so good.

  4. Hello, I did not see anything on the couple kissing under the umbrella. I received this stamp as a gift from a friend a very long time ago and have used it several times (it was my first stampingbella stamp!) I love your videos and am thankful you take the time to do them for us. I also love your mappings, they are very helpful. Thank you, Kim in Texas.

    1. Hi Kim! Thank you so much, glad you find them helpful. 🙂 I could do a video on Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan, I’ll pop it on my list. 😉

  5. I too love your coloring. I always thought my coloring was good but when 2 artists, one who does paper marbling and one who does portraits in chalk told me I was an artist because I knew where to put my colors and I was really good at my coloring I was dead chuffed! I can say the same for you. I want to try the pleats and folds when I color. I don’t do a lot of dresses except for the ones on some of my Stamping Bella stamps so I don’t need to do a lot of pleats and folds but I would still like to learn. I just have to watch those videos! Thanks for posting them again.

  6. Such a magical video… you make it look SO easy Elaine!! Thanks again for another wonderful colouring tutorial!
