I am sure I speak for many people when I say  COMPLAIN that I never have time to do anything FOR ME!  So when the daily marker challenge rolls around, I breathe a sigh of relief and take a few minutes to just grab a colouring medium and COLOUR!  Do I finish a project in one sitting?  NOPE.  Do I beat myself up over it? NOPE.  I do what I can do  with the time that I have and I APPRECIATE that time immensely.  I recommend it highly LOL.. it’s cheaper than therapy!  UMMM no it’s not LOL.  But it’s more fun for sure 🙂

So today I played around with our Tiny Townie BRIANNA the BUTTERFLY.. I just love our TINY TOWNIE BUTTERFLY GIRL collection. SO. SO. SO. MUCH.  I find if I start with the skin and hair, I am motivated to do more because she slowly starts looking alive! And that… my friends… makes me happy!

  1. Ohhhhhh… the glimpse of the oddball just made my day! That fits me to a capital T! Can’t wait to see what’s coming! The wait will be torture. But I’ll survive. Maybe. Heehee!

  2. Ohhhhh… the glimpse of the Oddball just made my day! That fits me to a capital T! The wait will be torture, but I’ll survive. Maybe. Heehee!

  3. Love your colouring tips and videos. Need to refer to the hex chart more often rather than buying more marker. ? Great giveaway!

  4. That’s the wonderful thing about the 30 day challenge – there is no pressure to complete an image in one go. Sometimes it’s lovely to see the progression of colouring an image as we can all pick up tips for more experienced colourists. Thanks for sharing your process and the new images look a-mazing! Appreciate the generous giveaway x x

  5. Emily, your darling images DO cause those very remarks from me!! Each little Bella is so very sweet! Thanks for your generous heart!
    =]

  6. Oooh Brianna is looking fabulous. I’ve got her and should ink her up soon! Looking forward to seeing the other sneak peeks! Pleeeeeease bring back some more stuffies though! They are adorable. I am still holding out for a donkey stuffie, and maybe a tiger, or a kangaroo! (I think you know where I’m coming from!!!!) :0) Have a lovely weekend Emily. I’m toddling off to colour something. xx

  7. I actually have to slow down and realize I don’t have to finish a project, just go with the flow! Your new release looks fantastic!

  8. Oh my heavens… the new Oddballs look hilarious! My heart definitely goes pitter patter for the Butterfly girl collection though… I NNEEEEEEEDDD them!!!!

  9. Super cute girl you are coloring. I too have to slow down, walk away to do other tasks, and then come back when there is time. Love your sneak peek. My daughter is into Monster High dolls and that hair gem reminds me of a few of her dolls and the accessories. Look forward to seeing more of your stamps and your new release.

  10. This is a fab image and it’s on my wish list. Beautiful coloring, and you are so right that she now looks alive!
    .

  11. I love the coloring challenge. The oddballs sneak peek is so cool – can’t wait to see the new release!

  12. Can’t wait to see your butterfly girl finished. She is so cute. Love the sneak peek of the Oddballs. I will need to come back and read more …. everyday life is calling! TFS!

  13. Love the sneak peek! Thanks for the reaffirmation that it is ok not to finish at the same time as started. Enjoy the joy – no need to beat ourselves up over a lack of perfection!

  14. First of all, let me tell you – you are totally right, this challenge is so great in making us realise that we can just colour even a tiny bit every day, and that’s totally enough, as long as it makes us happy! 🙂 Not every day do we have the time to colour a whole image, or make a whole card, but I find that even the little bit of colouring brings me some relaxing & happy time. And with two small kids in the house, it’s very well appreciated (and needed, LOL). I have a total Hex-Chart/Copic envy now, after seeing yours! Can’t wait for the sneak peeks to begin, woohoo!

  15. Love what you have colored so far, and for the reminder we don’t need to finish it all at once! Such a sweet image and loving the sneak peeks! Thanks for your generous giveaway too.

  16. She’s adorable! I like your way of thinking – no feeling guilty over unfinished products. <3

  17. Love your butterfly lady. The skin tones are so good. Hope you will show us the finished piece.

  18. Adore all of the beautiful butterfly girls! The sneak peek at the Oddball image is fantastic! Thanks for sharing with us!

  21. Ooooh, gonna be on the lookout for those new Oddballs. They look so fun! Thanks for the chance to win. (:

  22. Thank you! I rarely finish coloring in one sitting! People say “Just make time for yourself!”. Easier said than done! Thanks for the inspiration!

  23. Adorable image and like that you color as little or as much as time permits. Great sneak peek too of upcoming oddballs.

  24. The fairy is very sweet. Looking forward to seeing the completed coloring. And the sneak peek is very exciting!

  25. Thank you for sharing I love that you are taking your time and doing what you can when you can! Beautiful stamp

  27. That oddball sneak peek looks like a whole lot of fun!! And I agree that Tiny Townie Butterfly girl is adorable!!

  28. I need to start buying some copics, every time I see people coloring with them I wish I had all of them but they are so pricey

  29. Love that Tiny Townie Butterfly girl…and the sneak peak…EEEK…I’ll be watching on the 18th…can’t wait!

  30. Sweet image and fun sneak peek. Thanks also for reminding me I don’t have to finish a complete image in one day.

  31. Thanks for the sneak peek! I’m excited and I LOVE the fairy… your images are my favorite!

  32. Love the little odd ball skull hair bow. Cute. That’s a great tip about doing the skin and hair first, thanks.

  33. Love, love Tiny Townies! Butterfly wings? Oh my…and look at those Oddballs…tee hee. As always, loads of fun and inspiration at Stampin’ Bella. Thanks!

  34. What a sweet image! Your coloring is perfect and I look forward to seeing the end result. Thanks for the inspiration and for your generous giveaway!

  35. Love that little fairy, she’s so cute! And I love the sneak peak! I know I’m going to love oddballs!! Thanks for sharing with us!

  36. You are right about the image coming to life. I can’t wait to see how you finish her up. Please be sure to share.

  37. I love the concept of not feeling guilty for not completing it. I’m trying to get back to loving my crafts, and the 30 day challenge is helping me to let go and just enjoy the process. The stamp is so cute, I love the way you color.

  38. Those butterfly girls are so adorable. looking forward to seeing your completely colored image. Thanks for a chance to win. I only have a couple stampingbella stamps… I need more. 🙂

  39. LOL….gotta love the skull hair clip! My granddaughter is going to love cards using this collection. Great job.

  40. I love the Tiny Townie Butterfly Girl. One of the things that I like about the Coloring Challenge is that you feel encouraged to color, even if it is only a few minutes each day

  41. I agree with you. It’s better to color a little bit everyday and not let a day go by without some color. Please show us this cute design when you finish coloring!

  42. Can’t wait to see how this card comes out! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about a little coloring at a time is okay. I always feel like I am slower that most because I like to do a little at a time.

  43. It is so about us and the time we make to color – love your attitude!!! Will love to see your finished image!

  44. You’ve a great start on the butterfly girl, she is indeed a delightful image! Thanks for the sneak peek, I will definitely be back to check out your Oddballs collection.

  45. What a sweet little fairy and your coloring is amazing. How fun is the sneak peek at the lovely little gal with fantastic eyes.

  46. I don’t often color humans, so I appreciate any help I can get to make the process easier. I’ll try for the skin first next time I color. Thanks for sharing and supporting Kathy and the challenge! You’re so generous to lend your time and a gift certificate.

  47. I absolutely love , love, love the Butterfly Townie collection… I can’t wait to see what’s coming in the sneak peaks, especially the Odd Balls lol! very exciting ?

  48. The face and hair are my favorite things to color on images, but also the spots where I struggle the most LOL. Can’t wait to see the new release. The sneak peek looks super fun!

  49. I love that you shared your unfinished coloring! That’s a wonderful aspect of this challenge–the idea is to color each day, not finish a project every day! And Brianna the Butterfly is so sweet!

  50. I always am anxious to see the new stamps!
    Torture away – I am waiting….. :o)

I always want to participate in Kathy’s 30 Day Challenge, but haven’t
been able to as yet. This time I am really going to try

  51. Hi – I am new to your site but am def coming back for a longer stroll! The little sneak peek looks amazing!!

  52. What a sweet little butterfly girl and I love the sneak! I always do a little, but I’m never able to do the full 30 days, I just try and work it in as I can.

  53. SQUEAL!! BEAUTIFUL!! I LOVE the Images and Coloring!! THANKS for sharing the Sneak Peek too!! Have a FABULOUS WEEK!!

  54. Great name for the new line….Oddballs, I am positive I will love them since I am one too! LOL

  55. I never finish a project from start to finish in one sitting and don’t feel guilty at all. To me, it’s like a TV show and the story never ends. When I finish a project, I like to at least somewhat starts on the next. This keeps me motivated to create. Love your stamps. They are adorable. A BIG thanks to Kathy and all of the participants in the blog hop.

  56. Such a sweet image! I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t get a project completed in one sitting!!

  57. New addictions for sure! Love how your fairy is starting to come out and I know she will get there eventually! Probably faster in your world than mine, and that’s OK too 😉 Super excited about your mega release! Subscribing now so I don’t miss it!!!

  58. Looking forward to seeing more of the oddballs. That is right up my alley. Also would like to see the finished butterfly girl.

  59. I love that sweet little stamp and wow you did a wonderful job on her skin and hair! I cant wait to see her when she is finished. Thank you so much for sharing her with us and all of your encouragement. Hugs, treen

  60. Brianna the Butterfly is adorable and I know she’ll be perfect when you’ve finished coloring her! Everyone on your blog here colors so beautifully. I have so much to learn! Looking forward to the new release.

  61. Hee hee, you had it right – it’s an addiction, but we love it! So fun that you had a little me time to start to color the beautiful Brianna! Love the sneaks peeking around the corner, too! Fun stuff! TFS 🙂

  62. I keep telling everyone that there are worse addictions to have! Ten minutes a day is about all I can manage right now, but it makes me happy. Can’t wait to see your new stamp line…odd is always good. 🙂

  63. I keep telling everyone there are worse things to be addicted to! Ten minutes a day is about all I can manage right now, but it’s still a lot of fun. Can’t wait to see your new oddball collection…sounds like fun to me. 🙂

  64. Very cute fairy. She will be beautiful when finished. I can’t wait for the release. The Oddball collection looks awesome!

  65. LOL! Your thoughts on just coloring, whether you complete a project or not, and more importantly (at least to me) not feeling guilty about it mirrors my own. Though truth be told, I initially had a hard time with the guilt portion of not completing a project.
And yes, just having a face on your little girl, already gives her a personality!
And the sneak peak of “oddballs” has me so dang curious!!!! That looks to be a really fun release!
Thank you for your kind words & inspiration, as well as a wonderful line of stamps.

  66. I always love your cute little Tiny Townie stamps and those Odd Ball images look like fun!! I’m still a beginner at coloring so I can use all the tips you want to give!

  67. Can’t wait to see when she is fully colored! I also start to color something but don’t always have time to finish my works in one sitting (that mom life though :P). And ooh that ODDBALLS release looks juicy!

  68. This sweet little fairy image is adorable and I like the tip to start with the hair and face so she takes on her personality right away.

  69. Wonderful post – I love that you reiterate that this is not about completing something, but enjoying the process. Thank you so much for that! And, yes, she does look alive :D.

  70. I just love what you created–stunning. I have always been intimidated by coloring but recently purchased some Copics and am starting to enjoy coloring. I need to continue to practice to get better at it but will eventually get there.

  71. My goal is to not stress out over getting everything perfect and finishing everything that I start…and I will not stress out if I don’t achieve that goal!!! That is such a cute little image, but I can’t take my eyes off how much of that Copic chart you have completed….jelly. 😉

  72. Beautiful range of the butterfly girls , I’ve got them on my list and your gorgeous, fun gnomes.
This image is starting to jump out at you beautifully and I do agree it spurs you on the see more with the face showing than just clothing items. Thank you for sharing your ideas and beautiful work x

  73. Hi Emily, your butterfly girl does look more alive once the hair & skin are done. I love your attitude about your colouring process, I feel the same way. I do what I can with the time I have and don’t look back.
Colouring should be fun and relaxing and often our time to do so varies greatly but it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy what we have to work with each day. Your sneak peak looks like fun…

  74. You are such a tease with your upcoming new release. I think the new work is going to be fun. I love your stamps so much!

  75. She is precious, what a beautiful job on her hair and skin. Going to go check out the rest of your blog. I have been water coloring some lately and it works best if I just walk away and come back later for another layer, so the color when you can is really working for me. Just fun!!!
    Thanks for sharing.

  76. Wonderful tips…I own few of your stamps and adore them completely…thanks for the giveaway!!

  77. Aren’t you right.. You found time for YOU! And, you didnt have to finish AND you dont have to turn it into a card. I tend to think of the challenges as a time for me to create and try new things. Thanks for supporting the hop! Oddballs.. look super fun!

  78. Love the sneak peek. That big eyeball
is spectacular. Glad you will take
the time to do something for yourself.
    We all need that time.
    thanks for sharing

  79. Hi, I can’t believe we have to wait till JUNE 18th!!!!!! OMG that is a life time for a bella sista, ya know? I like the sneak peek thou, pretty cool and I love Brianna the Butterfly, I love when you do anything with a Butterfly because my mom loves them and collects them so I always scoop up all your butterfly people. The girls are just beautiful. I was so happy to see that you were a part of Kathy’s celebration, woot woot!!!!

  80. What an adorable image! Yes, I think I may have found a new “addiction”! add that to the list…..lol And I completely appreciate your outlook on taking time for ME and just color!

  81. She is adorable your little Tiny Brianna Butterfly, so gorgeous.
Thanks for your part in the challenge and the great giveaway for the hop, it’s such fun to do the 30 Day Coloring Challenge again!

  82. I totally love the hex chart too and use it whenever I want to do some copic coloring. I like you just color a bit each evening as I relax and don’t stress if I finish the project in one sitting or not. Love Kathy and her challenges. Love the image you are working on!

  83. Like your attitude toward this challenge. That’s the way I feel. It’s a chance for me to relax, try some new techniques, and improve my coloring all without the pressure of creating something particular and perfect. Time to just have fun.

  84. Your image is off to a great start. I say don’t sweat it. The coloring challenge is about having fun and NOT stressing! Thank you for the chance to win.

  85. Your little butterfly girl is so sweet and delicate and I like your suggestion to start with hair and skin to give a head start on the project. Thank you for the chance to win.

  86. Wohhhoooo, I would like to see the new thingies sooon! I just got my very first stamping bella stamp and I am in love, this quality is awesome! Love love love

  87. Those are some cute images. I love that you aren’t stressing about not completing it, as well.

  88. i think i’m gonna like the oddballs a lot. so if i could have that gift certificate, pretty please??

  89. Your coloring is so life like! I love it. I’ve had fun looking on your site, which was new to me. Not particularly related to this blog, but your gnome sets are adorable 🙂

  90. Your angel fairy is so cute! Coloring just a little each day is relaxing. Thanks for the sneak peek!

  91. I have a really hard time coloring people, but I am eager to check out the oddballs collection, since I am one, and so are all my friends! I only know about the cool people because my sister is one! Are you going to show your beautiful image when it’s finished? No pressure, which is what we love about Kathy and the challenges–I’d just like to see it! Thanks for your post!

  92. I like that you followed the idea of the challenge and only colored what time allowed. I have a stamping friend who is going to go nuts over your Oddballs!

  93. Stamping Bella stamps are new to me, as I have just started using copic markers. Love this one.

  94. I love Stamping Bella! Just colored my first Rosie and Bernie stamp. The Tiny Townie butterfly girls are on my wish list.

  95. You have started an adorable little fairy! Love your collection of Copics and don’t have near that many! Your Oddballs collection would also be fun to play with as well!!

  96. Cute image…glad to see you didnt rush to finish colouring it! Looking forward to the new release.

  97. She is a cutie and I can’t wait to see her when she is done. Girls and butterflies, it doesn’t get any better!

  98. What a cute fairy. Thanks for giving us “permission” to work on the same image and not feel pressured to complete it right away.

  99. Love your Copic coloring! I can’t wait to see her finished. I am saving to start my Copic collection.

  100. The sneak peek looks intriguing! Thanks for the reminder that it is okay not to finish anything in one go.

  101. It’s so true that colouring for fun is relaxing, as opposed to meeting deadlines. I love your fairy and hope you have more time to enjoy the 30 days:)

  102. Your coloring is so pretty. I look forward to seeing her finished. I just received my first Stamping Bella stamp. I can’t wait to start coloring her. Thank you for the opportunity to win.

  103. Super super super excited about your sneaky peek!!!!!! She looks adorable, especially since I am a bit of an odd ball myself. 😉 Can’t wait to see what you have in store!

  104. The image is darling, and your coloring is fantastic. If I could color like that, I’d be doing it every day without a problem. Sigh.

  105. I so totally agree with what you said. I also tell my husband that my purchases for this craft is cheaper than therapy but we both know that it isn’t and just laugh!

  106. Loving your philosophy of doing what you can today and not feeling guilty. You’ve made a great start on this darling image.

  107. Love the sneak peek! I love the color challenge and carving out just a few minutes if that’s all I can spare that day to work on an image!

  108. I also love the coloring challenge and do not worry if I only have a little bit of time to color and not complete a card 🙂 It is my therapy for sure! My family always knows when it time for the challenge because I make sure and let them know as soon as I know another is coming up and I have been known to take my coloring supplies on the road for vacation too!

  109. The oddballs release sounds promising! I love odd things. I like your fairy coloring and I am glad you got to start off this image. I look forward to seeing it all done too! Sometime I can only color or craft for a bit and it helps me get thru the day. Cheers!

  110. One day I will attempt to color a little person stamp. It looks really intimidating to try and color skin tones. At least with flowers it doesn’t look too strange to use alternative colors.

  111. I feel the same way when I’m coloring, the way the start look real is what excites me!

  112. Love your stamps, all are so whimsical. I like how you say we should not beat oirselves if we do not finish a project in one sit. Love this cute butterfly

  113. I also like that about the Coloring Challenge. You don’t have the pressure to make a card, but just to color and have fun.

  114. LOL I know it is hard sometimes to finish a piece in one setting with every thing going on, Coloring Challenge or not! I have seen your images SO MANY TIMES on Kathy’s blog! I’m SURE I will be seeing more of your images with this Coloring Challenge! 😉 FUN to come over & visit! I am going to HAVE TO check out your store TODAY! 😉

  115. The stamping Bella images are so sweet! I am always admiring them! Love seeing how everyone colours them! Xx

  116. Love Brianna the Butterfly and can’t wait for the ODDBALLS! Love that peek! Awesome coloring!

  117. That sneak peek is torture…the skull in the flower is calling me…I want to wear one! Can’t wait!

  118. Isn’t it so true that we beat ourselves up when we think we have to do things “just so”? Just setting aside the time for coloring frees our mind and distresses us! We need it more often

  119. I have this stamp and I colored it for my mom’s friend’s birthday. They have been friends since their Freshman year in High School and my mom will be 91 this year. I made her super colorful as her friend has Parkinson’s and has to live in a nursing home which she hates. I thought if she got a colorful card like this one she wouldn’t feel so sad. I am someone who believes a handmade, colorful greeting card can brighten someones day and she loved it! I am a part of the coloring challenge and I love, love, love to color!
Thanks for showing us you’re partially colored card and for giving us the chance to win something. I hope you can finish your card.

  120. Thanks for supporting Kathy and the Coloring challenge. Thanks to for saying it’s ok not to finish a project every day. Kathy support this too. The fairy is cute.

  121. I’ve learned myself to not stress if I can’t finish something I start. Life gets busy and well, even though we’d like to color all day, everyday ( at least I do lol), we just can’t always do that and finish everything we start. It’s been a process for me, and I’m happier moving forward and getting back to it when I can. Being the perfectionist I have been for years, this has been a step in the right direction for me. I no longer feel pressured or upset if I leave stuff half way, and it’s so liberating!

  122. Look at that sneak peak, too cute. I love you stamps, you some of the cutest girls and animals.

    Have a wonderful day,
    Jessica from Polka Dot Orchard

  123. I really like the boy a lot, totally fun and unexpected. ..can’t wait to play with them in future art projects…
