Hello all, My name is Kathy  Racoosin from The Daily Marker. If you are following along with the 30 day coloring challenge it’s Day 7!   If you are curious what The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge is I will add more info at the bottom of this post.

Have you see the collection of The Uptown Girls Zodiac Collection! Love them!! I also think that there is a lot of flexibility using these stamps.  I used UPTOWN ZODIAC GIRL CANCER on this card 🙂

Pleats and folds can be intimidating so why not divert the recipients attention?  I am happy to show you how!

Before we get started here’s a quick tip on hair. When you are coloring the hair leave a white space. In this case I was watercoloring .. so when dry I added an accent color with mustard for added interest and easy highlights.

The image was stamped with Black India ink onto Tim Holtz watercolor paper. To watercolor, I used Tombow watercolor markers and stamped the image a total of three times. When you know that you will be cutting out the dress you don’t have to worry about staying in the lines.

When the paper is dry, cut out the sections of the dress that you want to use. Take a marker around the edge of the cut areas to cover any white edges. Set aside and finish water coloring the girl on the front panel…. be sure to color under the dress.  When dry pop the dress panels for extra dimension and interest. Super easy!

Add some sequins..  this brand is my all time favorite because there is such variety in each bag! The sentiment was stamped on vellum with the same ink and glued down on the card panel.

Glossy accents were added to the crab, white gel pen accents were added to the flowers and a pattern was drawn on the dress.

When everything was done I had to paint a little glitter on accent areas on the dress and dress panels.

Thanks for your visit today and I hope to see what you are coloring . Hugs,  Kathy

I guess I commented on this on Kathy’s blog because I’ve seen this before. I love how she colored it and how she did the folds. Very cool idea, Kathy!
