DT Thursday with Sandiebella: Up-Cycle your Candy Boxes!

It’s time for another awesomely creative DT Thursday post! This week Sandiebella is showing you how to turn trash into treasure by up-cycling your empty candy boxes to create a fab gift box, perfect for sending a little care package!

Up-Cycled Candy Box Tutorial:

TOP TIP: If you don’t have any empty candy boxes hanging around, this is a great excuse to buy some candy! 😉

What you need:
Stamping Bella Stuffie Stuffy rubber stamp set
Empty Candy/Chocolate box
White card
Patterned papers
Drawer Handle
Crop-a-dile or similar hole punch.

How to:
Eat all the candy/chocolate 😀 Then measure the box width, length and depth. Cut white card 1/8″ smaller for the top, bottom and sides of the outside of the box, and for the front and back of the drawer. Then cut patterned papers, approx 1/8″ smaller than the white card
Adhere all the pieces of patterned paper to the white card pieces.
Adhere each of the panels onto the box.

Pull out the insert of the box and cover the front panel with the card/patterned paper panel. Taking a crop-a-dile punch a hole in the centre.

Fix the drawer pull in place.

Push the drawer back into the box.

Colour the image using your preferred medium.
Cut the image using a circle die and layer onto a scalloped circle. Adhere down onto the top of the box.
Fill the drawer with tissues, cold remedy, lip balm, etc.
