Sandiebella is back this week with a fab new DT Thursday tutorial!

Stamping Bella DT Thursday: Create a Spring Card with Sandiebella

Spring Card

Supplies:

White card
Patterned paper
Oval Dies
Scoring board and bone folder
Adhesive and 3D foam tape/dots
Nuvo Drops
Star Dust Stickles
Ribbon
Embellishments

How To:

Cut one piece of white card measuring 10.5″ x 5.25″ and fold into a 5.25″ square.

Open up the white card and fold one half in half again.

Flip the card over. Grab the top right corner, pull it down and over until the upper edge is even with the left most scoreline. Crease well with the bone folder.

Turn the card 180 degrees and repeat for the other side.

It should look like this when you open it up

On the bottom, measure 2 5/8″ to the centre, and mark with a pencil.

Using a ruler draw a line from that point to the score marks on the left and right hand sides, as shown.

Cut on each pencil line and discard the excess.

When you fold the card, it should stand like this.

For the panels, cut 3 pieces of white card.

1 @ 2.5″ square – cut this one diagonally to make 2 triangles.
1 @ 3.5″ square

1 @ 5 1/8″ x 2.5″

Cut patterned paper layer

1 @ 2 3/8″ square – cut this one diagonally to make 2 triangles.
1 @ 3.”3/8 square
1 @ 5 ” x 2.1/8″

Adhere the patterned paper to the white card panels and adhere to the card base as shown.

Stamp the image onto white card and colour using your preferred medium.

Cut out using an oval die. If the oval die isn’t wide enough, cut around the wings, put the die behind them and then run through the die cutting machine.

Cut another oval from white card and adhere the image to it.

Apply 3D foam to the back of the image

Adhere to the front of the card, over any ribbon/lace that you want to use.

Embellish the front as desired.

Apply some adhesive or double sided tape along the triangle undeneath the card front.

Adhere down onto the base. Only the sides and front panel should pop up.

Stamp the sentiment and cut into pieces

Adhere the sentiment on the card. Apply nuvo drops in the centres of the flowers

To finish, apply star dust stickles on the wings.
