Happy Thursday! Sandiebella has a gorgeous card project for you to recreate, featuring one of our lovely new Chick stamps!
Step by Step:
Cut two strips of white card measuring 1.5″ x 11″.
I cut extras in case of ripping while manipulating the card.
Punch one side of each of the strips.
Score at every 1/2″ on the 11″ side.
Mountain/valley fold, as shown.
Apply a piece of adhesive on the end 1/2″ section
Adhere the other strip to it.
Repeat for the other side closing it into a circle.
Cut a circle measuring approx 4″ in diameter
Apply a thick layer of glue all around the edge
Fold the strips so that the punched edge is on the outside and adhere down. Hold in a place for a few mins to get a good bond. I usually do this by putting a book, or a reel of ribbon sitting on it.
Insert the paper straw through one of the peaks, adhering securely to the circle underneath.
Cut some layers for the front, and add a paper doily.
Adhere them together to make the front panel.
Apply a good amount of glue in a circle, eyeballing where it will fit on the decorative strips.
Adhere to the front and hold in place until the glue has dried.
(again, place a book, etc on top of it)
Stamp the image onto white card and colour with your desired medium.
Position the die and run through your die cutting machine.
Cut a smaller scalloped circle and stitched circle and adhere together.
Adhere to the front panel
Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of paper.
Fish tail the sentiment, apply 3D foam tape/dot in the centre and some wet glue on each end.
Cut a length of ribbon and make a bow.
Glue the ribbon towards the bottom of the larger scalloped circle and stick the bow down, Place the sentiment directly above and then add the image using 3D foam tape/dots.
Add some pearls to finish off.
