it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH JENNY!-

Hello Sistahs and Happy Wednesday! I’m a child of the 80’s and when I saw the stamp Uptown Girl FARRAH Loves FLASHDANCE I just knew I had to like totally have it!

Weekly Challenge- SHAKER CARD and ZIG BRUSH MARKERS STAMPINGBELLA

I wanted to go totally 80’s with this card and to achieve the bright neon colors, I put aside my Copics and pulled out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I just love how saturated and bright they are even after adding some water to them. To make the card a little bit more fun, I decided to make a shaker window with bright neon sequins. The background paper is this fun iridescent paper that really catches the light. I’m sure I had some sort of outfit that had that texture on it back in the day! For details on what supplies I used and how I created this card, pop on over to my blog: www.owlbecrafty.blogspot.com

Before I go, I just have to share the inside of the card. That sentiment is just too perfect! Can’t wait to give this to one of girlfriends from grade school. It will be like totally perfect!

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH… JENNY from OWL BE CRAFTY-NO LINE COPIC COLORING

Hello Sistahs and Happy Wednesday! For this week’s card, I decided to use a couple of fun techniques but I kept the design clean and simple so the adorable Uptown Girl Monique Loves Macarons was the focus. The first technique I used was no-line Copic coloring. I stamped the image in a Copic friendly light brown ink. I then carefully colored it in with my markers. I’m always a bit skeptical of how it will turn out at the beginning but by the end the results are so satisfying. It makes the image look more like a sketch. A little time consuming, but so worth it!

I searched for some patterned paper to compliment the image and just couldn’t find the right one so I grabbed my watercolors and made my own. I used a small square brush and carefully brushed lines across the paper. I didn’t mind if they weren’t entirely straight because it added to the whimsy of the image. I’m a big fan of this technique because it makes it a one of a kind piece of art. Here’s a close up of some of the details:

Lastly, I love the sentiment that comes with this set but I just couldn’t figure out a way to make it work on the front. I had some cute little teal doilies in my stash and thought they would be the perfect mat for the sentiment. So I stamped it up and adhered it to the inside of the card. I try to make the inside of my cards just as special as the outside. It’s like a bonus for the recipient!

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH OWL BE CRAFTY- Making your own fun embellishment!

Hello Sistahs! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! This week I wanted to highlight one of my favorite times of the year, American football season! Pre-season games start this week and with that in mind, I knew I needed to use one of the new Bella 2.0 stamps, POMPOMABELLA.

Wonderful Wednesdays with featuring how to make your own POMPOMS for cards!

I started by modifying her cheerleading outfit a bit with a Copic multiliner to better match my favorite team’s uniforms. I colored her up with Copics and then decided to make some fun 3-D pom-poms for her. If you’d like to know how to make them yourself, I’ll have a quick and easy tutorial up on my blog along with all of the supplies I used to create the card. You can hop on over here: www.owlbecrafty.blogspot.com

Looking forward to three more lovely weeks with the Sistahs! Have a great day and I’ll see you next Wednesday!

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH…….OUR new AUGUST GUEST DESIGNER !

Hello Sistahs! My name is Jenny Bordeaux (aka Owl Be Crafty) and I’m so thrilled to be the guest designer for the month of August! My mother got me started in stamping and card making about 6 years ago and I haven’t looked back. It’s something that provides me an escape from the stress of life and I don’t know what I’d do without. I was honored to be asked by Emily and I’m looking forward to becoming a part of this wonderful Stampingbella community! Also, I could not believe I’m following one of my Copic idols, the fabulous Sandy Allnock! Big shoes to fill so here we go!

I have a HUGE love of owls and just knew my first card had to use Owliver Loves to Celebrate. I colored him up with my Copic markers and layered him on top of a silver cupcake wrapper. I frayed the edges with my scissors just to give it more texture. I like using unexpected supplies to make it a little extra special. If you’d like to know what supplies I used hop over to my blog for details: www.owlbecrafty.blogspot.com

guest designer OWLBECRAFTY shows us how to make this card using OWLIVER loves to celebrate by Stamping Bella

I hope you enjoyed this card and I’m looking forward to being with you Sistahs for the next few weeks! I would love to have you follow me on Instagram @owlbecrafty as that’s where I’ll share more inspiration throughout August. Have a great day and I’ll see you next Wednesday!

It’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS with

Sandy Allnockabella!
Hello once again, sistahs! It’s Sandy Allnock with one more Bella 2.o for you…this time with Allboxedupabella! Sandy Allnock Adding Drawn Details I used to have a boss whose favorite phrase was “smoke and mirrors.” It meant that, as creatives, we have secreats for how we make our magic, and we keep it among ourselves. All anyone else sees is a poof of magical smoke and glitter, and they have no idea how we did our amazing work! This is a way to do that….add beautiful drawn detail on top of your coloring, and your friends and family will be blown away by your skills! Watch the video below, or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

I’ve certainly enjoyed visiting with the stampin sistahs over here on Em’s blog – who knows, maybe I’ll get to come back and play again! In the meantime, I hope to see you over on my blog from time to time too. Hugs to all, and big thanks to Em for having me as a guest!

Sandy ALLNOCKabella!

Gasp. Pencil!? What? Yes, this is a Sandy-Allnock-Guest-Post, but this time for Cakeabella, I got out my Prismacolor pencils!
Sandy Allnock Magic Colored Pencil Technique You might find some stamps in your collection that have tiny areas to color. And if you’re struggling with getting a paint brush or marker nib in those tiny areas, give your pencils a try. Maybe even in combination with other mediums – let the pencils do the tiny work! I made mine do it all. Coz that’s how I roll! 🙂 Watch my video below, or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

In the video I mentioned the pencil sharpener I use – click HERE to see that one. I’ll be back next Wednesday with the last guest video – see you then!
SandySig PS In case we didn’t meet last week – I’m a crazy colorist and I post a couple videos a week, so if you’re a visual learner, come on over and visit on my blog and YouTube channel and we can have some fun. Hello sistahs! I’m Sandy Allnock – and I am so stinking excited to be guesting here on the blog all month! A little about me for those who I haven’t yet met: I color all the things. Yes, #allthethings. Give me any stamp with lines and I’ll go at it with some coloring medium or another! I create a couple videos a week, so if you’re a visual learner, come on over and visit on my blog and YouTube channel and we can have some fun. Oh and be sure to visit on Instagram too…since I’ll be sharing more Stamping Bella fun there all month, too!Sandy Allnock Fixing Coloring Mistakes

The first installment in my four Bella videos uses Beachabella – I’m first off jealous she rocks a bikini like that. But I also wanted to share some mistakes I made along the way with my Copic markers. Oopses can be our best way to learn, and since I make a lot of them – well, heck, I’m a learner extraordinaire! Watch the video below, or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

I’ll be back next Wednesday with another video – see you then!
