it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH – MICHELLE SHORT aka THE CARD GROTTO

Hello! Michelle here and I am delighted to be back on the Stamping Bella blog today. Sadly, this is my last week here for the moment, but I will be back! 🙂 Today I have a card to share using Cakeabella 2.0.  (Cakeabella is also available as a “CUT IT OUT DIE” or as a BUNDLE for 15% off!)I actually took inspiration for my card today from a card I made back in 2007 using the original Cakeabella. As much as I loved the original Bella’s, I am so happy to see them back remade.

I started off by stamping Cakeabella with black ink on to a piece of white cardstock. She was then cut out in to a circle piece using a pierced circle die. The side portion was then sliced off. Cakeabella was coloured using Copics (can you tell that they are my favourite colouring medium?!) and I also added a few highlights with a white gel pen.

I took an A2 purple card base and added a piece of patterned paper on to the front. On to this I stamped the sentiment from the Tiny Townie Blossom Loves Balloons set (I just love the font on this sentiment). The Cakebella image piece was then added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few glitter enamel dots.

If you would like to see the original card I made back in 2007, please do pop over to my blog. You have to promise me that you will not laugh at my card making skills 10 years ago though, ok?! 😉 A big thank you goes to Em and her team for having me this month, it has been so much fun. Have a great rest of the week!

Thanks so much again, Em.

it’s wonderful wednesdays with.. the amazing MICHELLE SHORT aka THE CARD GROTTO

Hiya sistahs!

I hope you are enjoying Michelle’s samples throughout the month.. I know I AM!!

from Michelle:

Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be back sharing a card as part of Wonderful Wednesday. Today I am using the adorable Nice To See You Petunia stamp set. This is one of the cutest images ever! I adore pigs anyway so of course I love Petunia, but with chicks too? So cute!

Wonderful Wednesdays with MICHELLE SHORT on Stamping Bella blog- stamp used NICE TO SEE YOU PETUNIA

For my card, I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and cutting the bottom edge with a scallop rectangle die. Petunia and her pals were then stamped on top using black ink. The image was coloured using Copic Markers. Stamping Bella images are such a pleasure to colour. The sentiment is from the Budding Chick stamp set, I masked off the ‘bud’ portion to leave just the ‘hey’. The Nice To See You Petunia set does come with a cute sentiment but I thought it looked like Petunia and the chicks were saying hey, so went with that 🙂

To put the card together, I took an A2 white card base and added some patterned paper to the front to match the colouring on the image. The image panel was then added on top with foam tape. Thanks so much for popping by today, see you next week!

Thanks so much, Em!

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH – MICHELLE SHORT aka the CARD GROTTO!

Another wonderful week of yumminess with Michelle!  I am so happy to have her!

Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be back sharing another project as guest designer with Stamping Bella. I love creating full scene cards and the Tiny Townie Blossom Loves Balloons stamp is perfect for this. Isn’t she just so cute, flying along with her balloons?

Wonderful Wednesdays with MICHELLE SHORT- RUBBER STAMP USED- Tiny Townie BLOSSOM loves BALLOONS

I stamped her on to a panel of white cardstock and then masked her off. I added some cloud masks to the background and then went over the piece with my Copic Airbrush using various shades of blue Copic Markers. I then removed the masks and added some colour and definition to the clouds with grey shades. Blossom and her balloons were also coloured with Copics. The sentiment was stamped to the side with black ink.

Since the image panel has a lot going on, I decided to keep it really simple and just adhere it flat to a black card base. This ensures the focus is kept on the image. Thank you so much for popping by today. See you next Wednesday!

now enought of my blurb..

Here’s Michelle!

Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be joining Stamping Bella this month. I absolutely adore Stamping Bella images, they are wonderful to colour. Bellas were the first images I used when I first discovered Copics and they have been a firm favourite ever since.

My card today uses the adorable Kitty & Mousie Celebrate A Birthday stamp. How adorable are the Stuffies range? So cute! I coloured Kitty and Mousie with Copics, making sure to add some blue behind them so that they pop from the card and create a little scene too. I added shimmer pen to the banners to give a little something to the image as well.

The image was simply added to a purple card base with foam tape. I love to give Stamping Bella images centre stage. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit today. I am looking forward to sharing my next project with you next Wednesday.

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH Christine Levison!

Hiya Sistahs!

Well it’s anothah “episode” of Wonderful Wednesdays With Christine Levison!

Wonderful Wednesdays With Stamping Bella- ELLIE LOVES PHANT card by Christine Levison

I adored colouring these gorgeous little cuties… Ellie loves Phant Stuffies  and I think you can always tell an image that you’ve really loved colouring – the love shows!  And talking of love – these little heffalumps couldn’t be closer and more in love…  it’s such an ‘awwwww’ image as they’re having a lovely cuddle..  I used our lovely Elaine’s colour map for my Copic colour choice – thanks Elaine!  Then I sat them on some grass – using Prismacolour pencils with a technique taught to me by our lovely Paula a lot of years back – thanks Paula!  I used a puffy cloud die across the corner and found some fabby heart balloon paper to show from behind.  Then I used the gorgeous little ‘I love you’ sentiment on the inside the card to finish off.

It’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH….. CHRISTINE!

Oh boy sistahs.. this release was over the top awesome!  Thank you all for staying tuned and playing along with me.  I think this is one of our best releases yet! (I think I say that about every one).. make sure you check out our WHAT’S NEW section if you haven’t seen the new goodies.  ENJOY!

And now for Christine!

‘Bonnie was getting ready for a night out with the love of her life.  Now as Bonnie is a very modern girl – and believes in equality in all things – she’s decided to declare her love and give her heart to her man.  Of course, for this occasion she had to wear THE RIGHT dress to impress him…  and decided on her fabulous PINK party frock – finished off with the most wonderful bow in her hair – the pink would set off her complexion best!  Then she had to have her glittered petticoat underneath her dress.. she wouldn’t feel right without some gorgeous sparkle.  She decided to put a lush polka dot bow around her heart too. I hope her man appreciated all the effort she’d gone to when she told him of her undying love…..   ‘

Stamp Used: Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Bonnie loves Bows (coordinating cut it out die set also available).

Christine has a way of making our stamps come to life.. in more ways than one ;).. I also see them as all having their own personalities etc… do you?

and now for the completed card

how could ANYONE say “NO” to Bonnie?

It’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH… CHRISTINE LEVISON!- featuring Edna the Diva

Hiya sistahs!  Welcome to our first Wonderful Wednesdays With feature of 2017!  This month we have an amazing guest as always.  I have noticed Christine’s work for many years now.. and her love for pink?  I can’t even.. a no brainer LOL.  You can check out her amazing work on her blog HERE

Please welcome Christine!

And HERE we go!

Wonderful Wednesdays With on the Stamping Bella Blog- featuring EDNA the DIVA rubber stamp

Hi…. I’m so thrilled and delighted to have been asked by Emily to become a Guest Designer for Stamping Bella…… it’s a dream come true for me as I’ve adored Stamping Bella images for years and years – too many to mention without giving away my age – shhhhhh!!

Now Edna HAS to be one of my favourite characters – as that was my lovely Mum’s name so it made me think of her!  I’ve used ‘Edna The Diva’ here – she’s just such a sassy fairy with her fabulous boa thrown around her shoulders and her sparkly fairy dust coming from her heels!  Here’s a closeup of this beauty 🙂

I coloured Edna with my Copic markers – and to give her hair and her boa an extra look of texture, I did lots of curly C shapes with different shades of colour. Then of course, any self-respecting fairy has to have her sparkle – so out came the glitter!

I also stamped and coloured the crown again and added it as an embellishment to her amazing sentiment!

wonderful wednesdays with Kathy Rac- PAMELA the POINSETTIA rubber stamp

Hello Everyone, My name is Kathy Racoosin and I am the host of The 30 Day Coloring Challenge & I am super excited to be back on the Stamping Bella Blog. It’s Day 23. but,  I have cooking on the brain since we have a small crowd coming for Thanksgiving.   Rather than think about coloring I relied on the beautiful coloring on the Stamping Bella packaging (coloured by Elaine of course!) to guide me,  especially with the shading on the petals on the skirt.

wonderful wednesdays with Kathy Rac- PAMELA the POINSETTIA rubber stamp

Coloring a background wasn’t something I wanted to take the time for today so I cut out this sweet chick, TINY TOWNIE PAMELA the POINSETTIA,  and popped her on my card base. Inking up the sentiment and coloring a frame was fast and easy. Wink of stella was added to the skirt and boots

wonderful wednesdays with Kathy Rac- PAMELA the POINSETTIA rubber stamp

I forgot to mention that I had cut out another skirt before I decided to cut her out. Love me some layers. Before I stuck her down I grabbed my ink blending tool and a stencil and gave my card base a touch of color. Thanks again for Stamping Bella for letting me guest with them this month it’s been super fun. See you next week for my last project. If you live in the US  have a Happy Thanksgiving. Hugs, Kathy

Ok now back to our regularly scheduled program.

KathyRACabella coloured something up for us today.. it’s totally YUMMALISH!

Here are the supplies Kathy used on her CHRISTMASBUG RUBBER STAMP and DIE BUNDLE set!

supplies:

Christmas Bug

Memento London fog

Glossy accents

Fantasia Artist premium colored pencils

Signs white gel pen

Wonderful Wednesdays with Kathy Racoosin- CHRISTMAS BUG STAMP and DIE set

Copic coloring is much faster but, I wanted to see what I could do with this beautiful and detailed stamp. I stamped the “Christmas Bug” with Memento London fog Ink. Starting at the top of my image and working my way down leaves less smudges on my project

Wonderful Wednesdays with Kathy Racoosin- CHRISTMAS BUG STAMP and DIE set

The sharper my pencil the better I can add shading. I just purchased a Kum Automatic Long Point sharpener and I love it. It probably would have been better to add the yellow halo around the lights first … I will try that next time.

Wonderful Wednesdays with Kathy Racoosin- CHRISTMAS BUG STAMP and DIE set

Taking a chance and coloring over the ornaments was probably a good choice and it saved some time.

Wonderful Wednesdays with Kathy Racoosin- CHRISTMAS BUG STAMP and DIE set

I used  a Signo Uni-Ball  white gel pen to add the ornaments back in since I covered them up. You can take a Copic marker to gingerly add color on the white gel accents. (Always test it on some scrap paper first especially if you have a different marker) I also added a white highlight with the gel pen to the lights. Then glossy accents were added to lights, ornaments, and the rims…is that what the inside of the tire is called lol.

on another note … It’s Day 16. of  “The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge” if you have been watching from the side lines or if you have been on the fence now is a good time to dip your toes in and see if you like it. 🙂 We would love to have you join.
