It’s WONDERDFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH FRANCINE Vuilleme!

Hello everyone! Francine from Switzerland here! Have you been busy creating Christmas cards? I hope you have a lot of fun using all these super sweet Christmas stamps.

Today, I have a new project for you featuring the Little Bits Snowman and the Little Bits Sledding sets:

I decided to create a sponged background to make the white snowman pop. I used the Sunburst stencil from Wendy Vecchi that I sponged with teal and blue Distress inks using blending tools. Next, I colored and cut the girl and the snowman (LITTLE BITS SNOWMAN SET, and  LITTLE BITS SLEDDING SET ) I adhered them with foam pads to the sponged background for more dimension. I stamped the “merriest wishes” sentiment from the Holiday Sentiment set in black ink on a white banner and fixed it with 3D adhesive squares below the characters. To finish off my card, I added three enamel dots. I really love this green and teal color combination for winter or non-traditional Christmas cards. What is your favorite color combination for Christmas and winter cards?

I hope you’ve got inspired by this project! Happy holiday season to all of you and see you next week!

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS with the WONDERFUL Francine Vuilleme :)

Hello everyone! Francine from Switzerland here! I’m so happy and excited to join Stamping Bella as a guest during the next few weeks! Thanks so much to Emily for having me!

I’ve created two clean and simple Christmas cards that I want to share with you today. Here is what I came up with:

For the first card, I used the super cute Santa from the Little Bits Santa’s Gifts set. As I really like traditional Christmas colors, I decided to go for a red and white combination. I create a horizontal design made of three lines with the color highlight in the center to keep the card clean. The red dotted paper adds interest and makes the Santa stand out against the background. I also used some Christmas baubles to emphasize the feeling of holiday season. These baubles are from the Little Bits Set of Elves rubber stamp set. To finish off my card, I stamped the “Warmth×Joy×Happiness” sentiment from the Holiday Sentiment set in black ink. As you can see, you don’t have to use various colors or element on a card for maximum impact. Keeping white space helps to focus on the character itself.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

For the second card, I decided to put the sentiment as the focal point and to highlight it using “accessories”. The Christmas fireplace mantle from the Little Bits Santa’s Mantle set I used on this project is meant to be for the Fireplace Backdrop. I drew some wooden “legs” to use the garland as a stand-alone element. I first stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Holiday Sentiment set in black ink onto a white top-folded card base. I colored and cut the garland with scissors (but you can find the matching “CUT IT OUT” die here to make it easier) , as well as the dog from the Little Bits Santa Kids and Pets set. The sweet sleepy dog adds so much cuteness! (“Cut it out die” can be found here )  I adhered the garland and the dog with foam pads to the card base for more dimension. As for the first project, you don’t have to use a lot of elements to embellish a card. Try to think out of the box and play with all funny accessories you can find in the sets. Not only the main characters or critters are worth it.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Happy holiday crafting and see you next week with a new project!

It’s WONDERDFUL WEDNESDAYS with MICHELLE SHORT aka THE CARD GROTTO!

Hello there, Michelle here and I am back with my final card for Stamping Bella this month. I have had so much fun creating my cards and this card that I am sharing today is no exception. I am using the Under The Sea Creatures along with the coordinating “Cut It Out” dies, Under the Sea Backdrop and the Under The Sea Sentiments Set.

Stamping Bella WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH MICHELLE SHORT- rubber stamps used: UNDER THE SEA CREATURES, UNDER THE SEA BACKDROP, UNDER THE SEA SENTIMENTS, UNDER THE SEA CREATURES "CUT IT OUT" DIES

I started off by stamping the Under The Sea Backdrop onto a panel of white cardstock. The panel was then coloured with Copic Markers to create the sea for my creatures to be in. I love that the backdrop is already made for you, no masking required! I took the sentiment from the Under The Sea Sentiments Set and stamped this onto the background using black ink. I did a little masking so that I could separate the words to fit the scene.

I stamped the Under The Sea Creatures onto white cardstock and coloured these with Copic Markers. They were then cut out using the Under The Sea Creatures “Cut It Out” Dies. I added the background flat onto a white A2 card base and then added the creatures on top with foam tape. To finish off, I added a little Crystal Glaze to the bubbles.

It has been an absolute pleasure guest designing with Stamping Bella this month. A huge thank you to Emily and her team for having me. Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you have a fabulous day!

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH Michelle Short AKA the CARD GROTTO!

Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be sharing another card with you today. My card uses the adorable Especially For You Petunia stamp set. I just love Petunia! She is always so happy! 🙂

wonderful wednesdays with Stamping Bella- RUBBER STAMP USED: ESPECIALLY FOR YOU PETUNIA, CARD BY MICHELLE SHORT

I started off by stamping Petunia on to a circle of cardstock that I cut using a stitched circle die. The image was then coloured using Copic Markers, adding in a little blue for sky. I took the sentiment from the Kitty & Mousie set and with a bit of masking, I stamped the ‘happy’ and ‘birthday’ on to a piece of black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. The sentiments were then cut in to strips.

I took a piece of patterned paper and cut this using a pierced square die. This was added to a white 5.25” x 5.25” card base with tape runner. I then added the image circle on top with foam tape, as well as the sentiment pieces. I love combing different sets and Stamping Bella sets go so well together. Thank you so much for popping by today, see you next Wednesday! I hope you have a great day!

Thank you Michelle!!!

Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be back on the blog sharing a card using the beautiful Tiny Townie Fairy Garden Fairy House. It looks so magical, I can just imagine the fairies living in it in the middle of the woods!

For my card, I started off with a panel of white cardstock cut it using a stitched rectangle die. I stamped the house on to this using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then stamped the sentiment in the top left. I always stamp my sentiments before colouring in case I mess them up! The whole image panel was then coloured using Copic Markers.

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS with MICHELLE SHORT aka THE CARD GROTTO!

Hello there, Michelle here,  and I am delighted to be back guesting with Stamping Bella this month. I have had so much fun creating my cards this month and I cannot wait to share them with you! My first card uses the Tiny Townie Mermaid Set.

Stamping Bella rubber stamp: MERMAID set, card by MICHELLE SHORT

I started off by stamping the mermaid and seaweed/plants in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on to a piece of white cardstock. The panel was then coloured using Copic Markers. After seeing Michele Boyer use two colours on her mermaid tail, I had to give it a go myself. I love how it turned out. Isn’t she just so pretty?!

The sentiment, from the Under The Sea Sentiments Set, was stamped in the top right hand corner and then the panel was added to a white card base with foam tape. As you can see, it is a really simple card but I love how the focus is on the image. Thanks so much for popping by today, see you next Wednesday 🙂

it’s WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS WITH… JENNY DIX!

Hi it’s Jennifer here for Wonderful Wednesday. I had lots of fun  creating this card. The hardest part was choosing the colours, as I wanted  to create CHATTY SQUIDGY  in every colour!  I think I might just have to create a few more?

Today I have used the larger  rubber stamp in the Chatty Squidgy  set.  She is also

available as a “CUT IT OUT” die or as a BUNDLE (Rubber Stamp and “Cut It Out” Die) where you save 15% when purchased together!

wonderful wednesdays with STAMPING BELLA-rubber stamp used CHATTY SQUIDGY card by JENNY DIX

First I coloured Chatty up using the following  Copic markers:

Face – E0000, E000, E00, E01, E11, R20

Hair – E40, E42, E43, E44

Belt, Shoes – C0, C01, C05, N07, N09

Phone – BG10, BG11, BG13, BG45

Dress, Ribbon, Soles of Shoes – Y11, Y15, Y18, YR23

To create this card,  I layered black card stock and a designer paper

on a white card base. Then, I cut out the Big Hello from MFT

on a layer the same size as the designer paper in white.

I then cut a scalloped edge with Wavy Scallop Stitches die from SSS.

I then covered the back with acetate and 3M tape around the whole section ,

and the “HELLO” to create a shaker card section.

I then popped sequins in it and covered the back with yellow

designer paper.

I put it all together and scattered some sequins around. I couldn’t fussy cut

around the phone cord so I replaced it with some really lovely  black thread.

It would have been so much easier if I had bought a “CUT IT OUT” die

at the start  ?.

Ssssh don’t tell but the other problem I had was that  I coloured her shoes too dark

so I restamped,  coloured, fussy cut and glued them on and they worked

beautifully because I was so happy with how the rest of her came out 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this card and Happy Crafting!
