Scenic Saturday with Amybella: Little Cutie Mermaid in a Clam Shell Postage Collage Scene

Hello, hello!

Amy here, and I’m back with a new Scenic Saturday post on the Blogabella. It’s MerMay so you know I just had to dive beneath the waves for a fun mermaid card. This Little Cutie Mermaid in a Clam Shell was the perfect size to fit in this mini slimline postage collage style card and I paired her with some under the sea friends that were included in the now retired Little Bits beach sets.

Stamps Used:

What’s fun about a postage collage style card is that you can treat each small panel as it’s own little scene or color them to form a larger cohesive scene. I went with the later, expanding the sea floor across the entire length of the card. Little Cutie Mermaid in a Clam Shell was stamped in the large middle panel and then I flanked her with the sea friends on either side. For the bottom left panel I first stamped the starfish and masked it off before stamping just the coral from the Little Cutie Mermaid in a Clam Shell image behind it. One of the sentiments from the Mermazing Sentiment set fit perfectly in the upper right corner and once it was in place I could go about coloring the rest of the card. I chose to stick with fairly light pastels throughout most of the card, saving the darker, bolder colors for the mermaid so that she would really stand out as the main character. Now this looks like a sheet of postage stamps that I would be excited to use on all of the MerMay cards that I mail out.  😉

Stay crafty my friends!

Bellarific Friday: Oldies but Goodies!

It has been a bit of a week for me, with a sprained ankle, dog training and trips to the dentist, so I am very happy it’s Friday! Of course, Friday brings Bellarific goodness from our Babes, to take us into a crafty weekend.

Our new release is wonderful, but those older stamps are just as amazing, so this week we have an Oldies But Goodies theme, and the Babes are showing off stamps from previous releases.

Before we get to today’s cards, a quick reminder that our MerMay 2025 event is in full swing, we now have two challenges open for entry, both with some inspiration from the Babes to get you started! You can find all the details in the following places:

The Cards

Let’s take a look at this week’s fabulous inspiration!

Love this one from Steph! Strawberries and cream are perfect for celebrating the upcoming tennis championships at Wimbledon!

Stamps Used:

Love this card design from Ginger, featuring just one of the mermaids from one of our Little Cuties stamps. The stamps come as a full little mini scene, but you can easily cut the images apart, or selectively stamp to play around and create whatever you like!

Stamps Used:

Delphine also used one of our Little Cuties stamps and just look at that stunning colouring. Such a beautiful scene!

Stamps Used:

Michele reached for our classic Tiny Townie mermaid. Love the pink on her tail, so pretty!

Stamps Used:

Debra inked up another of our Little Cuties stamps and I love how she used different elements each in their own little frame!

Stamps Used:

Love Jenny’s take on this stamp too! Those bright colours are so fun for a summery mermaid themed card!

Stamps Used:

That’s it for today! Hopefully you’re feeling inspired to go and create. Don’t forget to leave us a comment below with some love for our Babes and all their hard work.

MerMay 2025: Challenge Week 2

We’re continuing the MerMay fun this week with the start of another fun challenge! If you missed the first one, you can find that HERE.

Just to make sure everyone is clear – we are starting a new challenge every Thursday in May. Each weekly challenge is open for entries until 29th May. You can enter up to 3 cards in each challenge, either via the Facebook group or in the link party below (no link required). A winner will be drawn for a $25 gift card for our store from each challenge and announced on 31st May.

We want to see you having fun stamping, colouring and creating with your Stamping Bella mermaids and under the sea themed stamps! New or old.

Challenge Rules:

Entries should only feature Stamping Bella image stamps. All other products such as dies, papers, embellishments can be from anywhere! We won’t nit-pick over the sentiments either – but would love to see you using your Stamping Bella sentiments! You are also welcome to use older retired Stamping Bella mermaid stamps.

Links to all of the challenges and inspiration from MerMay will also be gathered in one central page HERE.

Challenge Week 2: Mermaids & Friends

In the second challenge we want to see under sea creatures. Either use them on their own, or pair them with a mermaid (or more than one).

We have some wonderful inspiration from the Bella babes to get you started!

One of my personal favourites from last year, this stamp is just too cute! Mermaids and an under sea creature all in one! Love the cute bubble gum colours Amy chose for this one, and that framed scene.

Stamps Used:

Debra’s polaroid snap style card is just so much fun! Such a great way to play with these stamps vs creating a full scene.

Stamps Used:

Gorgeous deep sea vibes from Delphine with this one!

Stamps Used:

I went with pretty pastels for our new Whimsabella mermaid on this one and bought in both our Under the Sea Creatures stamp set and the Under the Sea Backdrop to build a scene.
