Thursday with Sandiebella: Oddball Witchy Sistah 1 Halloween Rocker Card

Sandiebella is back! After a very busy time with work, Sandie is back creating her magic with tutorials for us. Starting with this awesome Halloween Rocker Card featuring our Oddball Witchy Sistah 1 rubber stamp!

Supplies:

Spooky Sentiments set
Black card
Halloween themed papers
Die cuts (optional)
Distress oxide ink, Twisted Citron
Lacy Scalloped Dies
Double stitched circle dies

How to:
Stamp Oddball Witchy Sistah 1 on to white blending card, colour and fussy cut around the outline.

Cut one 5.5″, and one 4″ lacy scalloped circle from black card.
Cut one 5″ and one 3.5″ double stitched circle from contrasting Halloween themed paper.

To create the card base, fold the large scalloped circle in half and burnish well with a bone folder

Cut the large circle in half and adhere either side of the card base.

Adhere the small paper circle and scalloped circle together.

Decorate with Halloween die-cuts

Apply 3D foam to the back, only on the bottom half

Adhere the circle to the card base, positioning so that only the bottom half is stuck to the base.

Adhere Oddball Witchy Sistah 1 using foam tape.

Stamp the sentiment onto white card, cut out using a small scalloped circle. While the die is still in place, ink with twisted citron distress oxide ink.

Adhere the sentiment and embellish the card as desired.

Scenic Saturday with Amybella: Oddball Witchy Sistah Scene

Hey friends!

Amy here with a new Scenic Saturday card on the ol’ Blogabella. Since the Holiday release hit the virtual shelves at Stamping Bella, I’ve been working my way through the trio of Oddball Witchy Sistahs and I’m ending the little series with Oddball Witchy Sistah 1. For the background I thought it would be fun to pair this fabulous witch with the Cottage on the Hill Backdrop and give it a creepy night time make-over.

Stamps Used:

Oddball Witchy Sistah 1 was stamped first, then masked before I stamped the Cottage on the Hill Backdrop high on the card front right over top her. Because the cottage itself is pretty tiny in comparison to our witch, placing it so high up gives us room to create the correct perspective between the two stamps. Once the mask is removed from Witchy Sistah, that cottage and even the hillside it rests on look be be pretty far behind her. I did have to extend the fence and hillside to the right of Oddball Witchy Sistah 1 by hand since the stamp was positioned far to the left but it was a simple thing to sketch in. When it came time to color, I thought she would look quite stunning with a head of silvery white hair, haloed by the light of the full moon. She’s a powerful witch with a few centuries under her belt and at this point she has seen been there, done that with all things Halloween. The rustic fall orange of the treetop and the bushes create a nice visual triangle that helps lead the viewers eye right to our witch’s face and her large spell book as the key point in this layout. Just don’t stare too long into those big eyes or she will have you under her spell, LOL!

Stay crafty my friends!

Bellarific Friday: Oldies but Goodies!

Last week we showcased our wonderful NEW RELEASE, but this week for Bellarific Friday the Babes are showcasing some of wonderful older stamps. They may be older, but they are still amazing, and still available to order! It’s always exciting and fun to check out all of the new stamps, but it can be equally fun to revisit the older images. I know I always enjoy seeing which ones each of the Babes picks on these weeks.

Comment to Win & Last Week’s Winner!

Each week you have a chance to win a $25 gift card for our website, just by commenting on the Bellarific Friday post for that week.
